Strake Jesuit came tearing into Friday's match with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 49-37 win over the Alief Taylor Lions. Given the Fighting Crusaders' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 140th, while the Lions are ranked 762nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Strake Jesuit is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.7 points per game.
