Basketball Recap: Clarke Central Comes Up Short

Clarke Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 23rd straight defeat dating back to last season. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 67-63 heartbreaker at the hands of the Apalachee Wildcats. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Gladiators this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 69-59 on January 3rd.

Clarke Central's loss dropped their record down to 0-22. As for Apalachee, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 12-9.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Habersham Central the next time they take the court. Apalachee will head out to face Habersham Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Clarke Central will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on February 4th.
