Evergreen won the last time they faced Summit and Elle Buenning did her part to make sure it happened again. The Cougars took down the Tigers 43-28 on Saturday with plenty of help from Buenning, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and 16 boards. She has been hot, having also posted three or more steals the last six times she's played.

Summit's loss came despite strong showings from Phoenix Meyer and Jade Close. Meyer dropped a double-double with 15 points and ten rebounds, while Close posted eight points along with 14 boards and four blocks. Elle Chabot was another key player, putting up two points.

The victory made it two in a row for Evergreen and bumps their season record up to 2-1. As for Summit, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Looking ahead, Evergreen will be playing in front of their home fans against Mountain Vista at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Summit, they will head out to take on Lakewood at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
