Baseball Game Preview: St. Thomas Catholic Eagles vs. St. John's Mavericks

The St. Thomas Catholic Eagles will take on the St. John's Mavericks at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. St. Thomas Catholic's pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so St. John's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

St. Thomas Catholic fell victim to Kinkaid and their airtight pitching crew back in March. They fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 2-0. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Eagles' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, St. John's came up short against HCYA on Monday and fell 7-4.

St. John's now has a losing record of 9-10. As for St. Thomas Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 8-7.

St. Thomas Catholic skirted past St. John's 1-0 when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Mavericks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
