4A District 5 recap September 24, 2013
Space Coast scaled the state rankings by moving to 303 from 353 this week, the biggest jump in 4A District 5. The Vipers were able to move up by topping Cocoa Beach 27-20.
Atlantic was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fifth to third in the league. The Sharks defeated Jones 40-13 earlier in the week.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Space Coast's Nick Rittenhouse and Alec Dansereau have proven to be a lethal combination. Rittenhouse has thrown for 961 yards this season, while Dansereau, a 5-foot-10 receiver, has 29 catches for 385 yards. Lorrenzo Pratt from Cocoa leads the league in rushing with 310 yards.
Atlantic led 4A District 5 in scoring this week by notching 40 points on the Fightin' Tigers.
