For the first time in his career, Hunter Scruggs scored a rushing touchdown on Friday. He rushed for 57 yards and one score on only seven carries as Phillips fell to Hackleburg 49-6. We rated that as his best performance since September 26th, when he picked up four sacks and made 11 total tackles (5.0 for loss).

Looking ahead, Scruggs and Phillips will take on Waterloo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cougars will enter the matchup having just beaten Vina, so the Bears will have to guard against a team looking to keep the ball rolling.
