Pleasant Valley came out on top against East Stroudsburg North on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive ten-run sixth inning. The Bears blew past the Timberwolves 16-1. The Bears haven't had any issues with the Timberwolves recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Kailyn Getz made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-5 with two runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, Pleasant Valley got a massive performance out of Lydia Borger, who went 3-for-5 with two triples, five RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI Borger has posted since back in April of 2024. Allison Borger was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Pleasant Valley was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .538. They are 6-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Pleasant Valley's record now sits at 8-6. As for East Stroudsburg North, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-11 record this season.
