Basketball Recap: Bronson Comes Up Short

Bronson played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against the First Christian Lions, falling 56-20. The Eagles were down 47-19 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Reagan Davis was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 29 points and ten steals for First Christian. Davis' evening made it 16 games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Analy Ellis, who went 5 of 9 en route to 11 points and four steals.

Bronson's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for First Christian, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 12-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bronson will take on Bell at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Bronson is facing Bell at the right time seeing as Bell is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for First Christian, they will face off against Gainesville Christian Community at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. First Christian's defense has only allowed 27.6 points per game this season, so Gainesville Christian Community's offense will have their work cut out for them.
