Soccer Game Preview: Madison vs. Taft

The Madison Mavericks will head out on the road to challenge the Taft Raiders at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Madison fell victim to Pieper and their airtight defense on Saturday. They fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 1-0. The loss was the Mavericks' first of the season.

Meanwhile, Taft also failed to score in their most recent game. They fell 2-0 to Jordan on Saturday. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Having lost for the first time this season, Madison fell to 2-1. As for Taft, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Everything went Madison's way against Taft in their previous matchup back in January of 2015, as Madison made off with an 8-2 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Madison since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
