Soccer Game Preview: Seckinger vs. Monroe Area

The Seckinger Jaguars will venture away from home to challenge the Monroe Area Purple Hurricanes at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Seckinger is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

Last Friday, Seckinger didn't have quite enough to beat East Jackson and fell 4-3.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 1-1 at halftime, Monroe Area was not quite Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy's equal in the second half on Friday. They fell just short of Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy by a score of 2-1. Having soared to a lofty nine goals in the game before, the Purple Hurricanes couldn't push the score so high this time.

Monroe Area's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Seckinger, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Seckinger skirted past Monroe Area 3-2 in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Seckinger since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
