Softball Recap: Addison Knights vs. Dundee Scotsmen

After losing to Dundee the last time they met, Addison decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Addison Knights walked away with a 9-5 victory over the Dundee Scotsmen on Tuesday.

Sadie Strauss was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. Strauss was also stellar in the batter's box, firing off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 3-for-4.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ava Knowles, who scored three runs while going 3-for-5. Another player making a difference was Lillian Atwood, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and a double.

Addison's win bumped their record up to 6-2.

Addison will head out on the road to face off against Hammondsport at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Addison is facing Hammondsport at the right time seeing as Hammondsport is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Dundee, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Whitman at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
