Softball Recap: Asotin Triumphs

Asotin lost to Orofino back in April, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The Panthers walked away with a 14-11 victory over the Maniacs. 14 seems to be a good number for the Panthers as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Georgia Schaefer was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two triples, three runs, and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Maddie Lathrop also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

The victory made it two in a row for Asotin and bumps their season record up to 4-17. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Orofino, their defeat ended an 11-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 16-2.

As of now, neither Asotin nor the Maniacs have any future games scheduled.
