Softball Recap: Clarksburg Comes Up Short

Clarksburg fell victim to West Carroll and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They came up short against the War Eagles, falling 7-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Rockets have suffered against the War Eagles since March 30, 2023.

Clarksburg saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alyssa Belew, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases. Belew has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played.

Clarksburg moved to 9-8 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for West Carroll, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-10.

Clarksburg didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, an 8-1 win against Bradford on the 3rd. West Carroll does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
