Game recap: Downingtown East back-and-forth battle over Pennsbury

After trading leads two times, Downingtown East (Exton, Pa.) snatched the lead for good when Kyle Lauletta ran for a touchdown in the second quarter, paving the way for victory over Pennsbury (Fairless Hills, Pa.) 42-28.

The Cougars were up 21-14 at the half after taking the lead on a touchdown run by Lauletta in the second quarter.

Downingtown East's most effective player was Lauletta. The senior quarterback threw three touchdowns and ran for one touchdown.

The loss comes after Pennsbury defeated Frankford 32-24 last week. With the win DE extended its winning streak to three games.

In a Ches-Mont - National game next week Downingtown East (3-0) takes on Coatesville, and Pennsbury (1-2) will go up against Harry S. Truman in a Suburban One - National game.
