Softball Recap: Farwell Makes It Four in a Row on the Road

16 must be Farwell's lucky number: they beat Harrison with that score not once but twice on Monday. The Eagles blew past the Hornets 16-6. Considering the Eagles have won eight contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Karleigh Ames was a standout: she got on base in all five of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Allena Wunderlich, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with three runs and one RBI.

Farwell hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in four consecutive matches.

Farwell pushed their record up to 13-8 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Harrison, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-16.
