Basketball Recap: Austin-East Takes a Loss

Austin-East lost a heartbreaker to Pigeon Forge when they met back in February of 2024, and they left with a heavy heart again on Thursday. The Austin-East Roadrunners took a hard 61-47 fall against the Pigeon Forge Tigers. The Roadrunners have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Austin-East's defeat dropped their record down to 15-12. As for Pigeon Forge, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-11.

Coming up, Austin-East and Carter will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played. As for Pigeon Forge, they will welcome Gatlinburg-Pittman at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in Pigeon Forge's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Gatlinburg-Pittman has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
