Basketball Recap: Fayetteville O Falls Despite Big Games from Anthony Harris and Samuel Williams

After flying high against Faith HomeSchool last Friday, Fayetteville O came back down to earth. The Fayetteville O Outliers took a hard 52-37 fall against the Village Christian Academy Knights on Monday.

Fayetteville O's loss came despite strong showings from Samuel Williams and Anthony Harris. Williams almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine boards, while Harris posted 16 points and eight rebounds. That was a full 43.2% of Fayetteville O's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's put up more than a third of the team's points.

Even though they lost, Fayetteville O smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in three consecutive contests.

Fayetteville O's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Village Christian Academy, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-8.
