Basketball Game Preview: Tazewell Bulldogs vs. Cornerstone Christian Academy Lions

The Tazewell Bulldogs will square off against the Cornerstone Christian Academy Lions at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Tazewell unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of Chilhowie by a score of 55-53 on Thursday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cornerstone Christian Academy). They claimed a resounding 71-25 win over Hurley. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Lions with their most commanding win of the season.

Cornerstone Christian Academy's win came from a few key players Tazewell will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Drew Roop, who posted 16 points and six assists. Another player making a difference was Noah Witler, who went 6-for-10 en route to 17 points.
