Volleyball Recap: Chatfield Has No Trouble Against Plainview-Elgin-Millville

Chatfield won the last time they faced Plainview-Elgin-Millville and things went their way on Thursday too. The Gophers put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Gophers.

Chatfield not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Plainview-Elgin-Millville between 15 and 17 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-17, 25-15.

Cora Bicknese paced Chatfield's offense, picking up 15 kills. Bicknese got some help from Harper Goldsmith and her 29 assists. Hannah Tweten controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Chatfield now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Plainview-Elgin-Millville, their loss was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-4.

Coming up, Chatfield will square off against Cannon Falls at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Plainview-Elgin-Millville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Randolph at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
