Softball Recap: South Milwaukee Takes a Loss

South Milwaukee has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 2.87 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Monday. They fell 10-5 to the Indian Trail Hawks. The Rockets were not able to make up for their defeat to the Hawks from their previous meeting back in April of 2019.

Amber Helgren was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and one run.

This is the second loss in a row for South Milwaukee and nudges their season record down to 12-3. As for Indian Trail, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Milwaukee will take on Kenosha Tremper at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Indian Trail, they will host Racine Case at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
