Powdersville picks up seventh straight win on the road

Recap: Powdersville Patriots vs. St. James Sharks

On Thursday, the stars were shining brightly for Powdersville in a 68-50 win over St. James. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Powdersville.

Powdersville got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Quan Burton out in front who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and five assists. Another player making a difference was Nick Sweet, who scored 12 points.

Powdersville pushed their record up to 9-3 with that victory, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. As for St. James, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-1.

Powdersville won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against North Myrtle Beach at 3:30 p.m. on December 22nd. North Myrtle Beach is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. St. James won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Lugoff-Elgin at 2:00 p.m. on December 22nd. Lugoff-Elgin has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 331 points over their last five matchups.
