Peak to Peak hadn't done well against Forge Christian recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Pumas came out on top in a nail-biter against the Fury, sneaking past 3-2. This was a revenge game for the Pumas: when they faced off against the Fury last Tuesday, they had to take a 5-4 loss.

Jacob Strong spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, Peak to Peak's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Drew Kraft, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI. Brendan Hartley also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

The victory got Peak to Peak back to even at 2-2. As for Forge Christian, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Peak to Peak will welcome Delta at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. The Pumas' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 6.9 runs per game this season. As for Forge Christian, they will host Kent Denver at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
