Volleyball Recap: Amphitheater Takes a Loss

After flying high against Cholla last Wednesday, Amphitheater came back down to earth. The Panthers lost 3-0 to the Sahuarita Mustangs on Wednesday. The Panthers have struggled against the Mustangs recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-14, 25-16.

Amphitheater's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Sahuarita, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-7 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Amphitheater will take on rival Rio Rico at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Sahuarita is set to face off against their familiar foe Cholla at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
