Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Davidson). Everything went their way against the Baker Hornets on Tuesday as the Davidson Warriors made off with a 61-40 win. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 57th, while the Hornets are ranked 287th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Davidson is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.0 points per game. As for Baker, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-16.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Davidson won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Booker T. Washington at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Baker, they are taking a road trip to challenge Bryant at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Bryant knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Baker likes a good challenge.
