Basketball Game Preview: Montbello Warriors vs. KIPP Denver Collegiate White Tigers

Having just played yesterday, the Montbello Warriors will jump right back in to play the KIPP Denver Collegiate White Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Montbello is coming into the game on the come-up as their season has now been buoyed by two straight victories. They put the hurt on Rocky Mountain Prep SMART with a sharp 56-32 win on Thursday.

Montbello relied on the efforts of Juanita Dixon, who posted 20 points and three steals, and Brittany Saldivar, who went 7-for-15 to rack up 17 points and three steals. The dominant performance gave Saldivar a new career-high in points. Jameya McMillion was another key player, putting up nine points and eight boards.

Meanwhile, KIPP Denver Collegiate entered their tilt with DSST: Conservatory Green on Thursday with three consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with four. They came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 50-44 W against the Hornets. 50 seems to be a good number for the White Tigers as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.

Montbello's win bumped their record up to 8-15. As for KIPP Denver Collegiate, they pushed their record up to 10-11 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.
