Basketball Game Preview: Mission Oak Hawks vs. Dinuba Emperors

Mission Oak is 1-9 against Dinuba since December of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Mission Oak Hawks are taking a road trip to challenge the Dinuba Emperors at 7:15 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Mission Oak is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their seventh straight game on Thursday. They came up short against Hanford, falling 82-59. While losing is never fun, the Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 838th, while the Bullpups are ranked 300th).

Meanwhile, Dinuba really took it to Selma for the full four quarters, racking up a 74-31 win. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Emperors had established a 32 point advantage.

Mission Oak's loss dropped their record down to 9-18. As for Dinuba, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a massive bump to their 16-11 record this season.

Mission Oak couldn't quite finish off Dinuba in their previous meeting back in January and fell 63-60. Can Mission Oak avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
