Baseball Recap: Ogden Victorious

Ogden took a seven-run loss the last time they faced off against Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Bulldogs sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 victory over Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center on Tuesday. This was a revenge game for the Bulldogs: when they faced off against Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center on June 2nd, they had to take a 13-6 defeat.

Ogden is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-11-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.7 runs over those games. As for Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center, they now have a losing record of 6-7-1.

Ogden and Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Iowa Rankings.
