Soccer Recap: Shannon Takes a Loss

Shannon and West Lauderdale squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Shannon had to settle for second. They came up short against the West Lauderdale Knights, falling 12-0. While losing is never fun, the Red Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi soccer rankings (they are ranked 124th, while the Knights are ranked eighth).

Shannon's defeat dropped their record down to 2-16-1. As for West Lauderdale, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 19-1-2.

As of now, neither Shannon nor West Lauderdale have any future games scheduled.
