Volleyball Recap: Utah Military Academy - Hill Field Comes Up Short

It was a Battle of the Birds when Utah Military Academy - Hill Field duked it out with Draper APA on Thursday. The Thunderbirds lost 3-0 to the Eagles. The defeat continues a trend for the Thunderbirds in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost six in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-5, 25-6, 25-7.

Draper APA's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Evie Martinez led the charge by getting five aces. Those five aces gave Martinez a new career-high. Ziva Horne also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

Utah Military Academy - Hill Field's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Draper APA, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-2.
