Softball Recap: Maple Hill's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Maple Hill came out on top against Albany on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run third inning. The Wildcats took their game against the Falcons 7-2. The victory was familiar territory for the Wildcats, who have now won six matches in a row.

Madison Camadine spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on four hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Olivia Mueller, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That stolen base was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Halle Feldman, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Maple Hill's record now sits at 6-3. As for Albany, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-8.

Coming up, Maple Hill will take on Saratoga Central Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Saints have averaged an impressive 8.6 runs per game this season. As for Albany, they will face off against Colonie Central at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
