Basketball Game Preview: Winter Springs Bears vs. Seminole Seminoles

Winter Springs is 0-10 against Seminole since January of 2018 but things could change on Wednesday. The Winter Springs Bears will look to defend their home court against the Seminole Seminoles at 7:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Seminole is hoping to do what Spruce Creek couldn't on Thursday: put an end to Winter Springs' winning streak, which now stands at four games. Winter Springs strolled past Spruce Creek with points to spare, taking the game 60-45.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Winter Springs to victory, but perhaps none more so than Daniel Stringer, who went 8 of 13 on his way to 19 points and six assists. Stringer's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of William Sanders, who went 6 of 10 on his way to 16 points and eight rebounds.

Meanwhile, Seminole was just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 64-63 to Lake Brantley. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Wednesday (58), the Seminoles still had to take the loss.

Winter Springs pushed their record up to 11-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Seminole, they now have a losing record at 8-9.

Winter Springs came up short against Seminole when the teams last played back in January of 2024, falling 63-56. Thankfully for Winter Springs, Josiah Shackelford (who posted 25 points and eight rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
