Baseball Recap: Belen Jesuit Drops Season-High Score on Dade Christian

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Belen Jesuit). They put the hurt on the Dade Christian Warriors with a sharp 12-6 win on Wednesday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Wolverines as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Danny Lopez was a standout: he scored three runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. David Del Pino was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Belen Jesuit lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post two or more home runs.

The win got Belen Jesuit back to even at 10-10. As for Dade Christian, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-11.

Belen Jesuit wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 5-0 defeat against Canterbury on the 3rd. As for Dade Christian, they will head out to take on Keys Gate at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
