Softball Game Preview: Griggsville-Perry Tornadoes vs. Mendon Unity Mustangs

The Griggsville-Perry Tornadoes will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Mendon Unity Mustangs at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Griggsville-Perry came up short against Rushville-Industry on Tuesday, falling 17-5. The Tornadoes have struggled against the Rockets recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Griggsville-Perry saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ashtyn Wainman, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Ruby Waters was another, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Mendon Unity lost 13-4 to Camp Point Central on Wednesday.
