Volleyball Game Preview: Weber Warriors vs. Ridgeline Riverhawks

The Weber Warriors will square off against the Ridgeline Riverhawks at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Weber is coming into the match hot, having won their last six games dating back to last season.

Weber barely beat Clearfield the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Warriors put the hurt on the Falcons with a sharp 3-0 victory on Tuesday.

While Weber won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-17, 25-22.

Weber's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tesyn Stewart, who had nine digs and two aces. Stewart has been hot, having posted two or more aces the last five times she's played. Scarlett Smith was another key player, getting eight digs and two aces.

Meanwhile, Ridgeline gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener last Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over Farmington.

Ridgeline was especially dominant in the fourth set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-20, 23-25, 25-13.

Weber's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Ridgeline, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.

Weber came up short against Ridgeline in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, falling 3-1. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
