Basketball Recap: Benson Tech's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Benson Tech waltzed into their match on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 54-48 W against the Jefferson Democrats. That's two games straight that the Astros have won by exactly six points.

Benson Tech pushed their record up to 12-6 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.7 points over those games. As for Jefferson, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.

Coming up, Benson Tech will challenge Grant at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Jefferson, they will take on Lincoln at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Lincoln has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
