Cedar Grove strolled into their game on Wednesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came out on top against the Columbia Cougars by a score of 5-1. Those five runs were actually the fewest the Panthers have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Cedar Grove pushed their record up to 6-0 with the victory, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Columbia, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1.

Looking ahead, Cedar Grove will host Verona at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Hillbillies will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Columbia, they are taking a road trip to square off against West Essex at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
