Volleyball Recap: Antigo Comes Up Short

Antigo came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Mosinee Indians. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Red Robins of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-11, 25-8.

Mosinee can attribute much of their success to Payton Allen, who had ten digs and three assists. Allen is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Antigo dropped their record down to 6-16 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Mosinee, the win was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 28-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Antigo is set to challenge their familiar foe Northland Pines at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Mosinee will face off against rival Lakeland at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
