Basketball Recap: Bartram Trail Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

If Nease wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Bartram Trail, they should've done a better job of containing Miranda Campos. The Bartram Trail Bears managed a 57-53 victory over the Nease Panthers on Friday thanks in part to Campos, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 13 rebounds. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in boards.

Nease lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Audrey Rollins, who posted 17 points and five steals. Rollins is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Abigail Robinson, who went 5 for 9 on her way to 12 points.

The win was the third in a row for Bartram Trail, bringing their record for this year to 13-6. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.3 points per game. As for Nease, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-10.

Bartram Trail wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 75-27 victory against First Coast on the 27th. As for Nease, they will take on Bolles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bolles will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Nease surely won't give up without a fight.
