Volleyball Recap: Hollywood Hills Takes a Loss

Hollywood Hills lost against McArthur back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Spartans fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 3-2. The Spartans' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Hollywood Hills was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made McArthur work for it, especially in the fourth set. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 22-25, 25-21, 26-25, 15-7.

Despite the defeat, Hollywood Hills saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Christian Hernandez had 38 digs and two assists. Another player making a difference was Sandy Sanjurjo, who had 11 digs.

Hollywood Hills' record is now 3-11. As for McArthur, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-6.

As of now, neither Hollywood Hills nor the Mustangs have any future games scheduled.
