Softball Recap: Shelby County Comes Up Short

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Shelby County couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Sylacauga Aggies by a score of 9-7 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Wildcats have suffered since April 19th.

Shelby County's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 21-10. As for Sylacauga, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-20 record this season.

As of now, neither Shelby County nor Sylacauga have any future games scheduled.
