Basketball Recap: Calhoun's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak at Home

If Calhoun was riding high fresh off their 61-39 takedown of Northwest Whitfield on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Calhoun Yellow Jackets took a 42-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dalton Catamounts on Saturday. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Yellow Jackets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 55-32 two weeks ago.

Calhoun's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-8. As for Dalton, the victory was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 21-3.

Calhoun and Dalton should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings. Calhoun (ranked 88th) will meet Adairsville (ranked 209th) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Calhoun will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. Similarly, Dalton will take on Allatoona at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday up 434 places (61 vs. 495).
