It may have taken ten innings to finish the job, but Banks ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Gladstone Gladiators. The win was some much needed relief for the Braves as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Brooklynn Robinson spent all ten innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on 12 hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Khloe Long was excellent, scoring a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Banks' victory bumped their record up to 3-4-1. As for Gladstone, they dropped their record down to 2-6 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Banks and Gladstone will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Braves are set to face off against their familiar foe Corbett at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Gladstone will challenge rival Madras at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
