Football Recap: Nebraska Lutheran Comes Up Short on the Road Against East Butler

Nebraska Lutheran had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They had to suffer through a 74-28 loss at the hands of the East Butler Tigers. The Knights were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 66-0.

Despite the defeat, Nebraska Lutheran had strong showings from Luke Otte, who picked up 122 receiving yards and one score, and Weston Koontz, who picked up 55 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. Otte got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 63 yards.

Coming up, Nebraska Lutheran will challenge Fullerton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for East Butler, they will take on Guardian Angels Central Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
