Softball Recap: Palmetto Scholars Academy Takes a Loss

If Palmetto Scholars Academy was feeling good fresh off their 26-8 takedown of Stall last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Palmetto Scholars Academy took a 13-10 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lowcountry Leadership NaviGators on Friday. The Phoenix haven't had much luck with the NaviGators recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Lilah Senn was cooking despite her team's loss, firing off three triples, two stolen bases, and three RBI while going 4-for-4. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more stolen bases the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Alivia Willen, who scored three runs while going 2-for-3.

Senn wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Palmetto Scholars Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 12 hits in three consecutive matchups.

Palmetto Scholars Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Lowcountry Leadership, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Palmetto Scholars Academy will head out to challenge Charleston Math & Science at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lowcountry Leadership, they will venture away from home to square off against Timberland at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
