Basketball Recap: Leadership Academy Falcons vs. Winston-Salem Prep Phoenix
Leadership Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 70-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Winston-Salem Prep Phoenix. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Phoenix this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 55-53 back in January.

Despite the loss, Leadership Academy still got an impressive performance from Caleb Foster, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and ten rebounds. Foster is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Caden Ryker, who posted 11 points in addition to six boards and five steals.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Winston-Salem Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jace Covington, who put up 26 points. Those 26 points gave Covington a new career-high. Brandon Rorie was another key player, putting up 18 points.
Leadership Academy's loss dropped their record down to 15-9. As for Winston-Salem Prep, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-5.
As of now, neither Leadership Academy nor Winston-Salem Prep have any future games scheduled.
