Basketball Game Preview: St. Michael's Horsemen vs. Santa Fe Indian Braves

St. Michael is 2-8 against Santa Fe Indian since January of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The St. Michael's Horsemen will head out to face off against the Santa Fe Indian Braves at 4:00 p.m.

Last Tuesday, St. Michael's was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 59-58 to Robertson. The Horsemen have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Santa Fe Indian hadn't done well against Robertson recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Santa Fe Indian came out on top against Robertson by a score of 52-40. The victory continues a trend for the Braves in their matchups with the Cardinals: they've now won three in a row.

Santa Fe Indian pushed their record up to 18-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.0 points over those games. As for St. Michael's, their loss dropped their record down to 9-16.

St. Michael's skirted past Santa Fe Indian 39-37 in their previous matchup last Tuesday. The rematch might be a little tougher for St. Michael's since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
