Recap: Spruce Timberwolves vs. Conrad Chargers

This season hasn't been kind to the Spruce Timberwolves, who are still winless after their sixth match. They took a hard 65-47 fall against Conrad on Tuesday. Spruce was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Conrad apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.

Conrad's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isaac Lwate, who scored 22 points along with eight steals. That's the first time this season that Lwate scored 15 or more points. Brian Singleton was another key contributor, scoring 24 points along with six assists and five rebounds.

Spruce's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 0-6. As for Conrad, their victory bumped their record up to 10-5.

Spruce will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Poteet at 7:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024. Conrad's road trip will continue as they head out to face Lincoln at 9:00 a.m. on December 27th. Lincoln is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
