Football Recap: Nipmuc Regional Piles Up the Points Against Montachusett RVT

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Medfield, Nipmuc Regional was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 39-6 win over the Montachusett RVT Bulldogs. The Warriors pushed the score to 31-6 by the end of the third, a deficit the Bulldogs had little chance of recovering from.

Nipmuc Regional's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Eben Consigli, who rushed for 54 yards and three touchdowns, and also caught one score. That's the most rushing yards Consigli has posted since back in October of 2024. Johnny Desmond did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 101 receiving yards.

The win got Nipmuc Regional back to even at 2-2. As for Montachusett RVT, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-4.

Looking ahead, Nipmuc Regional will head out to face off against Burncoat at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Montachusett RVT, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against St. Bernard's Central Catholic at 6:00 p.m.
