Ryan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Grapevine Mustangs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Ryan sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-14, 21-25, 25-19, 23-25, 16-14.

Several Raiders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Abigail Vasquez, who had 32 digs and four assists. Vasquez has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last 17 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Atiya Everett, who had 21 assists and ten digs.

Grapevine's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Prescott Carey led the charge by getting 21 digs and three aces. Another player making a difference was Finley Love, who had 12 digs and two aces.
