Fultondale moved up to 135 from 163 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 2A Region 6. The Wildcats were able to make the jump by beating American Christian Academy 38-16.
Woodland extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Randolph County, 37-28. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
Woodland's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. John Wes Adcock threw for 92 and one touchdown and John David Jacobs had 43 yards receiving. On the ground Michael Howard chipped in 262 yards. Lakeland Phillips helped Woodland's passing attack out by catching one ball for 42 yards.
Stephen Bailey's team's Adcock and Tyler Rollins have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Adcock has thrown for 409 yards this season, while Rollins, a 5-foot-10 receiver, has seven catches for 164 yards. Ardarius Stewart from Fultondale leads the league in rushing with 899 yards.
A big matchup in 2A Region 6 this week will be when Ranburne takes on the Bobcats. As it stands, the Bulldogs are in fifth, while Woodland is in first.
Vincent took down Talladega County Central 46-14 last week, the largest margin of any game.
